因为孩子，我开始了这段华文教育的旅程It Began With My Two Children

2010 年创办 CCF 时，我的两个孩子一个三岁，一个四岁。作为母亲，也作为一名资深的华文老师，我希望我的孩子能够从小接触经典，在古诗美文的滋养中学习语言，感受中华文化的智慧。When I founded CCF in 2010, my two children were three and four years old. As a mother — and as a veteran Chinese teacher — I wanted my children to grow up with the classics, learning the language nourished by classical poetry and fine writing, and feeling the wisdom of Chinese culture.

然而，对于在新加坡成长的孩子来说，这些内容并不容易。如果只是反复朗读和背诵，孩子很容易觉得枯燥；听不懂、没有兴趣，华文也难以真正走进他们心里。But for children growing up in Singapore, this isn't easy. Reading aloud and memorising alone quickly become tedious — and if they can't follow it or find it interesting, Chinese struggles to reach their hearts.

于是，我开始思考：So I began to wonder:

有没有一种方法，可以让孩子在"玩"和"表演"中自然地接触华文？Was there a way for children to encounter Chinese naturally — through play and performance?

我尝试把经典诵读、成语和古诗，与故事、游戏、动作、音乐和戏剧结合起来，让孩子在具体情境中听、说、理解和表达。I tried weaving classical recitation, idioms and poetry together with stories, games, movement, music and drama, so children could listen, speak, understand and express themselves in real, tangible situations.

就这样，我创立了《经典华文》演艺课程。当时的公司名为经典华文工作坊 Classic Chinese Fun，这也是 CCF 最初的起点。And so I started our Classic Chinese Drama programme. Back then, the company was called Classic Chinese Fun — and that was where CCF truly began.

从母亲的初心，到教育实践From a Mother's Heart to a Teaching Practice

在教学实践中，我发现当孩子进入故事、扮演人物、用动作表现情绪，并站出来表达时，他们不仅是在学习语言，也在理解人物、感受情绪，并逐步建立表达自己的勇气。In practice, I found that when children stepped into a story, played a character, used movement to express emotion, and stood up to speak, they weren't just learning a language — they were understanding character, feeling emotion, and gradually building the courage to express themselves.

因此，我将戏剧元素、肢体活动、情境游戏和表达训练融入课程，让华文成为孩子可以看见、听见、感受和使用的语言。So I wove drama, movement, role-play and expression training into the curriculum, turning Chinese into a language children could see, hear, feel and use.

随着实践深入，CCF 也从最初的《经典演艺》，发展为更完整的《华文演艺》课程，服务不同年龄和学习需要的孩子，而我们的教师团队也在不断扩大。As the practice deepened, CCF grew from our original Classic Drama into the fuller Chinese Speech & Drama curriculum, serving children of different ages and needs — and our teaching team kept growing too.

CCF 的课程发展，也伴随着我的两个孩子一路成长。CCF's curriculum grew alongside my own two children.

他们从幼儿园开始学习华文演艺。随着年龄增长，他们接触更丰富的词汇和篇章，逐渐理解人物、情节和语言背后的含义。They started learning Chinese Speech & Drama in preschool. As they grew older, they met richer vocabulary and texts, and gradually came to understand character, plot, and the meaning beneath the language.

他们的成长让我更加清楚地认识到：Watching them grow made one thing clear to me:

孩子在不同阶段，需要不同的学习方式。Children need different ways of learning at different stages.

幼儿通过游戏和表演接触语言；小学阶段逐步扩大词汇、阅读和表达；进入中学以后，则需要更深入地理解文本、思考问题，并用华文表达观点。Preschoolers encounter language through play and performance; primary schoolers steadily build vocabulary, reading and expression; and by secondary school, they need to understand texts more deeply, think critically, and express their own views in Chinese.

因此，我将课程从幼儿园延伸到小学和中学，并在教学实践中不断调整和完善。So I extended our curriculum from preschool through primary and secondary school, refining it continuously along the way.

这些成果并非来自某一堂课或某一本教材，而是多年持续学习与积累的结果。这让我更加相信，语言教育是一段长期过程。真正重要的，不只是考试成绩或词汇数量，更是孩子逐步形成的理解力、思考力、文化素养，以及表达自我的能力。These results didn't come from any single lesson or textbook — they're the product of years of sustained learning. It has only deepened my belief that language education is a long journey. What matters most isn't exam scores or vocabulary counts, but the understanding, critical thinking, cultural awareness and self-expression children build along the way.

我们想做的，不只是"教华文"We Want to Do More Than "Teach Chinese"

今天的 CCF Chinese 乐之华文，已经从最初为两个孩子设计的一套课程，发展为以课程研发、教材设计和华文教育项目为核心的教育品牌。Today, CCF Chinese has grown from a single curriculum designed for two children into an education brand built around curriculum research and development, teaching material design, and Chinese-education programmes.

从幼儿园华文演艺、经典演艺，到小学和中学阶段的华文课程，我们希望为孩子提供一段连贯、有层次，并能随着成长延伸的学习体验。From preschool Chinese Speech & Drama and Classic Drama, to primary and secondary Chinese courses, we want to give children a learning journey that is coherent, layered, and grows with them.

我们尊重孩子的年龄、程度和学习节奏，让他们在故事、游戏和表演中接触华文，在具体情境中理解语言，并逐步提升听、说、读、写和表达能力。We respect each child's age, level and pace, letting them encounter Chinese through stories, games and performance, understand language in real situations, and steadily build their listening, speaking, reading, writing and expression.

我们希望孩子拥有的，不只是更多词汇和更好的成绩，而是能够在真实情境中理解、思考，并用华文表达自己的想法和感受。What we want for children isn't just more vocabulary or better grades — it's the ability to understand, think, and express their thoughts and feelings in Chinese, in real life.
